Barry Eisler on Fault Line Fault Line, my first standalone, introduces military assassin Ben Treven, and my previous six books were a series centering around freelance assassin John Rain.

Fault Line includes some pretty explicit sex, and the Rain series has its fair share, too.4/5(). A best seller in France, with overcopies sold, and currently being translated into eighteen languages, Fault Lines is the new novel from internationally-acclaimed and best-selling author Nancy Huston.

Huston's novel is a profound and poetic story that traces four generations of a single family from present-day California to WW II¨Cera Germany/5(47). I read "Fault Line", by Janet Tashjian because it looked like a book that would make me not want to stop reading, which ended up being the case.

This book is about a 17 year old girl, named Becky, who has a dream of pursuing comedy, and then she meets a boy, named Kip, who is also a comedian/5. Yesterday, I had the privilege of reading Fault Line by Barry Eisler.

Apparently, Eisler is quite well-known for his previous books, but to be honest, when I got asked to review the book, I had never heard of him (such is the life of an English professor, I suppose too many literary novels, not enough thrillers).

And a thriller this is/5. Fault Line is a dark, gritty read, but I don't just use those terms to describe its subject matter.

A line is drawn between India and Pakistan, The Other Side of Silence of millions who were lost. The Other Side of Silence: Voices from The Partition of India by Urvashi Butalia chronicles the stories of partition which were never spoken of.4/5.

Voices From the Past is a book that should be in everyone's library. The devotional readings from past Puritan men of God is so rich, so deep, and so powerful that to not have this book is a grave mistake.

I was challenged with each reading to fall deeper into my faith as these voices declared their love for God, His Son, and His Holy Spirit/5. Janet Tashjian is the author of acclaimed books for young adults, including The Gospel According to Larry, Vote for Larry,  Multiple Choice and My Life as a Book.

Disney adapted Tru Confessions into a television movie starring Clara Bryant and Shia LaBeouf. Tashjian studied at the University of Rhode Island and Emerson College/5(14).

Each quarter of the novel is narrated by a different six-year-old, and again, by choosing first-person, present-tense children's voices to portray periods of history, Huston clearly never set out Author: Joanna Briscoe.

Working under the name Faultline, Kosten produced the largely instrumental debut Closer, Colder and the follow up Your Love Means Everything, which featured guest vocals from Coldplay 's Chris Martin, The Flaming Lips, & R.E.M's Michael Stipe.

“Faultlines aspires to make music that brings to life human emotion with tight folk harmonies that warm like the California sun and lyrics that speak to the gritty, universal inter-human experience.

“ P artition Voices takes its place alongside other valuable books on partition such as Khushwant Singh's Train to Pakistan and Urvashi Butalia's The Other Side of Silence ” – Amit Roy, Eastern Eye “The most extraordinary book. The prologue already had me in tears.
